Chemical Safety Sheets

So, as part of my work, I have to learn about all the different nasty chemicals I'll be working with so I don't ingest anything I'm not supposed to. Like caustic soda, hydrochloric acid and ammonia.

Hazardous chemicals come with a document which lists the chemical properties and first aid procedures related to that chemical. A lot of them have a section that looks something like this.

IRRITANT

Eyes (rabbit) - SEVERE

So someone, somewhere is making a living standing around in a lab squirting caustic soda into the eyes of cute fluffy bunny rabbits.
